How long have you been a FOC member?

• • Joined in August 2025

Why did you join?

• • I love this park and wanted to be a part of it. I wanted to do something and be a caretaker of the planet and this community. I don't have money to give but I have myself.

What is your favorite activity at Croft?

• • I enjoy taking my kayak out around sunset. The last visit I made before the cold weather, I saw four different species of birds in four hours. I have been lucky enough to spot a Bald Eagle once! 

Where is your favorite spot at the park?

• • On the lake, in my kayak.

Do you have a favorite event at the park?

• • Neewollah! I was a "Spooky Hayride Safety Officer" this past fall and had an absolute blast!

How long have you been a FOC member?

• • 3 years

Why did you join?

• • I just wanted to give back to the park. We used to ride horses here and we just loved it. 

Where is your favorite spot at the park?

• • In the woods, out on the trails!

Do you have a favorite event at the park?

• • Neewollah - it's a lot of fun and I feel helpful!

How long have you been a FOC member?

• • Since 2022

Why did you join?

• • I found out about the group from Joan (FOC Treasurer). I have a passion for making a difference and for creating more active events such as 5K races in the park. 

What is your favorite activity at Croft?

• • Going back to high school, I would always run Croft State Park Rd, the main road in the park. It's close to 3.1 miles and is a good place to time trial a 5K.

Where is your favorite spot at the park?

• • McFadden Rd because it has a remote feel to it which is a rare feeling in Spartanburg County.

Do you have a favorite event at the park?

• • Neewollah is always the big event of the year and assisting in the development of the event has been fulfilling.
